OBTAINING APPROVALS FOR CONSTRUCTION WORKS ON A SPECIALLY PROTECTED NATURAL AREA:

The territory of the Moscow Residence of Santa Claus belongs to specially protected natural areas and partially has a water protection zone. The general contractor paid maximum attention to this fact, making design and production decisions during the implementation of the project.
The functional content of the park space is based on socio-cultural and landscape-visual analysis of the area, as well as on the historical and cultural expertise carried out through archaeological exploration of the area.
→ Comprehensive improvement of the territory of the Moscow Residence of Santa Claus included: renewal of the pathways' pavement, installation of sculptures of fairy-tale characters, decorative benches and decorative lighting, as well as planting permanent herbaceous crops. The unremarkable, unused territory received a new start and became a favorite place for Moscow residents.
→ We can state a fact of the success of the declared concept of the park, the interest of Moscow residents in the sculptures made by the general contractor, as well as the meeting of the goal: namely the year-round attendance of the Moscow Residence of Santa Claus due to the opening of this site.
In the process of construction, the general contractor ART BERENDEEVO STUDIO, in order to maximize the preservation of forest community and the natural landscape of the park, used specialized equipment that allows working in cramped conditions (the area of improvement is a dense forest), and also used the method of rail transportation of large-sized heavy sculptures to their installation sites.
This production solution made it possible to preserve all the green spaces of the territory. In addition, the general contractor carried out the work at night, which reduced the possibility of local residents' dissatisfaction with the work to zero.
→ The layout of the planned pathway is made in consideration with the existing road surfaces in such a way that the reconstructed paths do not cross existing green spaces.
→ In addition, the laying of utility lines was carried out under the reconstructed paths, without additional excavation.

The artists of ART BERENDEEVO STUDIO accurately capture every detail in the nature and appearance of the characters as the customer sees them. After a few weeks, the sketch becomes concrete sculpture.
LANDSCAPE DESIGN: ECOTRAIL
THE PROJECT PROVIDES THE RENEWAL OF THE PATHWAYS' PAVEMENT.

The location of the designed paths is made with careful consideration to the existing pathways, so that the reconstructed paths do not cross existing green spaces. On this site were planted: european spruce, black alder, savin juniper, common hawthorn, cotton tree, dwarf ninebark, Vanhoutte spirea and spirea japonica.
Careful preparation for the landscape design-project for the park and an aim on preserving the natural landscape of the territory formed the basis for the selection of green plantings of native species in the central part of the Russian Plain. This made it possible to carry out landscaping work while preserving the forest communities of the Moscow Residence of Santa Claus and organically complement the rich flora of the park.
HANDCRAFTED SCULPTURES

A qualitative analysis of the socio-cultural trends of the Residence’s public revealed the need to include characters from such beloved fairy tales. These custom-made sculptures of fairy-tale characters are used by the staff of the Residence as parts of educational quests.

This project play an important role for Moscow due to its uniqueness and socio-cultural orientation: this is the first interactive and educational platform aimed at teaching and encouraging residents and guests of the city to read, as well as at the revival of culturalness through the knowledge of folk tales and books of famous writers.
In the process of holding the main events and working closely with the target group of the park, it is expected to form a sustainable interest in literary works.
The improvement of the existing territory of the Residence has increased the visitors' time spent in the park, and also has a positive effect on the quality of their entertainment.
